Iford Manor was a WINNER WINNER Chicken Dinner in my book. It was a hot hot day so I donned my Dog Snug bandana to help keep me cool before we entered into the beautiful Italian gardens of Iford Manor. Now I had to be kept on short leash but really, that’s ok, I can see why as there were SO MANY stunning bushes and ancient trees for me to pee up that it’s just too tempting! Plus the lawns are kept so well that really it would almost feel like laying a number 2 in the middle of a Wimbledon tennis court!
Seriously, this is an absolutely wonderful place. I’m a Labrador and I love life but even I found myself chilling out and sitting back to take in the scenery.
At the time we visited they were setting up a film set so we weren’t allowed everywhere in the garden, but that was ok as the film crew gave me loads of attention which is always good. And saying that, so did the staff. I always like a good head rub and a loving word so if you ever see me make sure you stop to say hi. Seriously. It’s a must, Peto Gardens at Iford Manor. Come chill out, have a bowl of water (or a cuppa for the two legged variety) and some biscuits (or cake). Just don’t pull my ears too much.. everyone seems to have a thing about my ears.. it’s because they are really soft, someone said once they wanted to make a purse out of them! I would rather keep hold of them myself thanks.
So in short, go visit, take your two legged friends and enjoy this stunning place, it will definitely be worth it, summer or winter time. http://www.ifordmanor.co.uk
